Support for the Development of an Asset Declaration Data Synchronization System

EUROL 4 supported the Agency for Prevention of Corruption in advancing the establishment of a secure data synchronization system for asset declarations and enhanced inter-institutional connectivity. The activity was conducted in two phases, from 20–22 April and 18–20 May 2026, to identify the legal, organizational, and technical prerequisites for secure data exchange, thereby supporting the broader objective of enhancing the accuracy and verification of asset declaration data, strengthening transparency, and preventing corruption and conflicts of interest.

As part of the initiative, meetings were held with representatives of the IT departments of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, the Ministry of Interior, the Special State Prosecution Office, and the Financial Intelligence Unit to assess existing capacities and define the requirements for effective data sharing and interoperability. At the conclusion of the mission, EUROL 4 expert Esmin Berhamović and EUROL 4 Legal Advisor Ognjen Mitrović met with the newly appointed Director of the Agency, Kristina Braletić, to present the project’s activities and discuss further support for the development of the data synchronization system.
