EUROL 4 co-organized, together with the Austrian Police Attaché, in May 2026 a study visit for officers of the Department for International Police Cooperation (INTERPOL–EUROPOL–SIRENE) of the Police Administration of Montenegro to the Austrian SIRENE Office in Vienna. The visit provided participants with direct insight into Austria’s operational practices and procedures related to international police cooperation, including information exchange mechanisms and the functioning of the SIRENE system.
The study visit proved highly valuable in strengthening professional capacities and enhancing mutual understanding of institutional frameworks and workflows. It is expected to support further concrete implementation steps in Montenegro in this area, while also fostering closer operational cooperation between Montenegrin and Austrian law enforcement authorities, thereby contributing to more effective international police cooperation.
