EUROL 4 supported the Ministry of Justice in drafting a completely new Law on Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters with EU Member States, ensuring full alignment with the EU acquis. A comprehensive review of the existing legal framework showed that the required changes went beyond amendments, leading to the preparation of a new law. Between June and September 2025, EUROL 4 experts drafted the full legislative proposal and a detailed explanatory report, which were endorsed by the working group and forwarded for consultations with the European Commission and further government procedure.
